Who This Class Is For

This class is for anyone who wants to confidently use a drum carder to prepare beautiful, intentional fiber—whether you’re brand new or already experienced. Beginners will learn the fundamentals from the ground up: how a drum carder works, how to safely load fiber, and how to create smooth, consistent batts without frustration.

Intermediate fiber artists will deepen their understanding of fiber preparation, learn how to fix common problems, and gain more control over texture, density, and blend. Advanced students will appreciate the nuanced techniques for custom blending, color control, fiber layering, and preparing batts tailored for spinning, felting, or other fiber arts.
